F-Critical to clean,
fast, and fully indexed.

A solo men's-health practice in Garden Grove, CA, running on an aging WordPress site that scored F-Critical on every channel we measured. Google was crawling leftover pet-grooming demo pages, every page jerked as it loaded, and a dead URL had been leaking link authority since 2019. We rebuilt the entire site from the ground up and cut the domain over — here's what was broken, what we shipped, and the verified before/after the day it went live.

The audit

A real medical practice,
invisible on every channel.

F-Critical on every channel

Three independent audits — website, Google Business Profile, and AI-search visibility — all came back F-Critical. The website scored 16 out of 60. The Google listing scored 10 out of 40. A medical practice that was effectively invisible.

Google was crawling pet-grooming pages

Of the pages Google had indexed, more than half were leftover lorem-ipsum WordPress demos — a dog walker page, a pet sitter page, an executor page — sitting under a men's-health domain and wasting Google's crawl budget.

Catastrophic layout shift

Every desktop page scored a Cumulative Layout Shift of 1.0–1.1. Google's threshold for “good” is under 0.1. In plain terms: the page jerked and reflowed as it loaded, on every single page.

A dead page leaking link authority

The site's old host had left a dead “Account Suspended” URL live since 2019 — and eight high-authority backlinks were pointing straight at it, pouring ranking equity into a 404.

Fake-review spam in the backlink profile

A third-party “SEO” spam campaign had planted fake-testimonial links that became one of the domain's top backlink anchors — a cleanup target before any real authority work could begin.

The playbook · audit-first, then rebuild

Measure first.
Rebuild the foundation second.

Phase 0

Audit before anything

Three full audits — website, Google Business Profile, and AI-search visibility — plus a study of the top-performing TRT clinics in the country to set the bar. Every finding scored and documented before a line of code was written.

Phase 1–2

Brand direction, then build foundation

Four distinct brand directions presented; the practice picked one. A warm, credentialed men's-health identity — “real medical care for real men” — became the spine of a complete ground-up rebuild on a modern, fast framework.

Phase 3

Full website rebuild

Nineteen real pages — homepage, seven service pages, about, contact, FAQ, blog, plus city and credential pages — each with proper medical-schema markup, canonical business info, and compliance review on every commit. No filler, no AI slop.

Phase 4

The cutover

Pointed the live domain at the new site with a verified 11-rule redirect map so no old link broke, submitted a clean sitemap to Google, recovered the dead-URL backlinks, and connected analytics and Search Console for measurement going forward.

Method: every page was scored before we touched it, every commit ran through medical-compliance review, and every claim on the live site traces back to something the practice actually does. No generic content; no AI slop.

Every number here is a measured before/after pair, not an estimate. The desktop layout-shift fix is the cleanest win — catastrophic on every page, gone on every page.

Most agencies show you a prettier homepage. The work that actually moves search rankings happens in the crawl data, the redirect map, and the backlink profile — where nobody thinks to look.

Honest caveats

What this hasn't changed yet.

Rankings and traffic take months, not days.

Domain authority and keyword rankings move on Google's clock — typically two to four months after a rebuild, longer for a full shift. The cutover sets the foundation; the climb is the next chapter, and we measure it monthly.

Mobile speed got heavier on launch day.

The new site renders far richer content than the near-empty old one, which cost some mobile load time on day one before the edge cache warmed up. We're tracking it across the first 30 days and tuning the heavy images.

The Google listing work is still ahead.

Photos, posts, the services menu, and review velocity on the Google Business Profile are a separate workstream on a separate timeline. The website foundation came first.

We tell clients what works andwhat won't until later. No oversell.
